PRAVDA IN PORTUGAL: HOW UKRAINIAN CRAFT BEER FINDS ITS PLACE AT EUROPE’S WESTERN EDGE
28.10.25
Recently, in October 2025, Pravda Brewery marked a new milestone by opening its third location in Portugal, expanding the presence of our Ukrainian brand. Now, we’re sharing our impressions of how Ukrainian pubs are finding their rhythm and audience across Lisbon.

As of today, Pravda Brewery is represented by three small pubs across the Lisbon district.

The first pub opened a year ago, in October 2024, at Rua Afonso Annes Penedo 18 in Lisbon. Since then, it has built a loyal circle of regulars who have grown to love Ukrainian craft beer as if it were their own :)

The second pub, at Rua Ilha do Pico 1A in Arroios, seats around 20 and is located near Lisbon’s cultural and tourist centre. Guests from the nearby hotel often drop by, curious to discover the flavours of Ukrainian craft beer.

Many locals and visitors are intrigued that our beer isn’t made locally but comes all the way from Ukraine. They love not only the brews but also Pravda’s bold labels and unique pub design, so different from what they’re used to. Through our labels, we keep sharing messages with the world, offering a glimpse into how we experience culture, politics, and everyday life back home.

We opened our third Portuguese pub — and the first Pravda Living Room franchise — in Parede at R. Miguel Bombarda 344.

This is our first pub with an outdoor terrace and the first outside central Lisbon. With seating for over 25 guests and 10 taps of Pravda craft beer, it’s conveniently located just a short walk from the suburban train station and 500 meters from the beach. Dmytro Kostiuchenko, Pravda’s partner, notes: ‘Our guests in Parede are thrilled with the new pub. Many say it saves them a trip to Lisbon for a Pravda beer. And having the pub owner behind the bar gives everyone another reason to come back for a great craft beer.’

While Pravda continues to win hearts, you can savour your favourite brews at our Lviv pubs or order them online.
