1. “Perkalaba”, the Orchestra of Joy and Happiness, is a Ukrainian band from Ivano-Frankivsk that is 17 years old. 
2. It is named after a dinstant Hutsul village in the Carpathian Mountains neighbouring with Chernivetska and Ivano-Frankivska distrcirs and bordering with Romania. “Perkalaba” started their career in 1998 when the band performed at “Chervona Ruta” festival for the first time.
3. There are 9 musicians in “Perkalaba”: Sha Man – a vocalist, Petro "Petrovych" Skazkiv — cembalo, back vocal, Serhiy Shvayuk — trumpet, accordion, back vocal, Uncle Vitya — trombone, Beresen — drums, Viktor Novozhylov — guitar, vocal, Danya Skapankovych — bass, Taras Kolomiyets — fagott.
4. At first “Perkalaba” played music similar to ska-punk and reggae but later started to add more elements of Gutzul music. Now the Orchestra of Joy and Happiness call this style “Gutzul roots.”
5. “Perkalaba” realesed 6 gramophone records: “Horry!” (2005), “Qzzaargh vs Perkalaba” remix album (2006), “Ivano-Frankivsk is Speaking!”(2007), “!Chydro”(2009), “Dido” (2011), “Djerga” (2013). Two concert albums-double live UnderOpera were recorded in “Left Bank” restaurant (Lviv) in 2009; Live in Moscow recorded in 2007 in RJ club; remix album Rok'it Кuzьmооk (2009); double tribute album "Familia PERKALABA. Tribute to Gutzul Sound System (2015)".
6. Qzzaargh is one of the pseudonyms of Serhiy Kuzminskyy – Kuzya who was a vocalist of Ukrainian band “Braty Gadyukiny ”.
7. Djerga is the album released to “Perkalaba” 15 anniversary.  Djerga means “carpet” in Gutsul dialect.
